So I’ve always thought a lot about dreams, but never get past “why do they happen”. It’s such a weird thing that happens in life. I used to have a reoccurring dream of my flying off the Musik Express ride at carnivals but waking away without a scratch.I haven’t had that dream since high school though.
My new dream trend is not reoccurring dreams as a whole, but rather locations that appear again and again. Locations that happen a lot, a place that is a cross between Disney & Six Flags. It’s always the same attractions I see but none of them are places I’ve ever been to, only similar.
The other place is a high school, not the one I went to but one that is larger in size. Namely the parking lot is mall sized and I can never find my car. Or I’m waiting for the buses to come and I never know if I’m getting on the right bus. For sure the one thing that always happens in the high school dreams is that I’m looking for my locker and when I finally find it I don’t know the combination.
I worry about my subconscious, I really do. It’s so weird… how does it work??
I’ve realized how full circle life can be. I got my first credit card almost six years ago so I could buy a Macbook. I swore I would only use it for the laptop and just pay that off monthly. I, of course, lost sight of that and charged everything. Then thousands of dollars of debt appeared. About six months ago I cut up my credit card and vowed to only pay off what I owed. I also realized it makes no sense to buy something if you can’t afford it, so I would vow to also only buy things with my debit card.
So I’ve been paying off my credit card every month, and being able to pay more than the minimum which is great. But I’m running into the issue where my lovely 6 year old Macbook is dying and I think I desperately need a new one. I wouldn’t need one so bad except for the fact that I’m in grad school and write papers on the regular. How do you buy a new laptop without a credit card or having that much money to your name?
I almost refuse to open another credit card and start the vicious cycle. This is now an open letter to Oprah, be my new best friend. I need a new macbook and a boat.
love always,
Kimmay
