Now every cheap hood strikes a bargain with the...
This is my second effort to keep 2012 crafty and full of DIY projects! I think I’ll do one a month. My inspiration derived (again!) from sweet Elsie over at A Beautiful Mess. This song lyric wall art was super fun, easy and cheap to boot. For full details and tutorial head on over to A Beautiful Mess.
I already had acrylic paint, the letters cost me $4 at Michael’s (with a coupon) and...

Pop culture rants...
I’m annoyed our governor cares more about the death of public figure than allowing a bill to pass to allow people that love each other to get married. I hope McDonald’s passes a bill that says you can’t have anymore Big Macs. Also, cool a basketball player does what he’s suppose to do, everyone is amazed. I didn’t even know basketball was still happening until last...

Stripes and pearls...
I was mildly obsessed with my outfit today, so I took a picture in the bathroom. One of my students regarded it as J.Crew meets the 80s. I’ll take it. Not pictured, some fierce black pointy pumps.

Keep your heart healthy...
The American Heart Association calls today, February 3rd, Wear Red Day. Unfortunately heart disease is the number one killer of women, even more than all types of cancer combined. Sadly, heart disease can be a risk even just because it runs in your family, like me. My dad’s side of the family has worn the burden of this disease for many years.
In the last 10 years I have made it my number...

Crystal Diner
uncannie:
This diner was minutes away from my college and every once in awhile I miss it terribly. I long for the 3am study-break trips for pancakes and playing “touch the jelly.” It’s when you open a jelly packet, pour a layer of sugar on top, spread it out and then… go ahead… poke it. Touch the jelly. It feels so cool.
However, right now, I’ve got a hankering for one of my favorite things on...

Tale as old as time...
My friend Bonnie just captured me from my house so we could see Beauty and The Beast in 3D, and it was perfect. I cried, no big deal… at least 3 times. It was so nice to see something from my childhood again as an adult.
Like most people (I think) after something traumatic change the way they view things. As a lot of people know, I was in a bad car accident last week but I’m ok,...

I heard someone say that nothing gold can stay...
…but there’s a love in all our souls, and it shines like gold.
Of course it wouldn’t be the end of another year without a year in review. Well, it’s been quite a year. I cannot remember ever saying, “man I can’t wait until this year ends to start over” etc. Perhaps this year I might just feel that way. Clearly things weren’t that bad because...

Turn around and cross the line...
…you so casually walk between function and fashion
Bored of your same old mini skirt or your drab cardigans? Well, exchange one for the other by re-functioning. I’ve been delighted recently by two fashion bloggers and I adore their innovation. In the past I’ve mentioned how much I love the idea of “shopping in your closet” and these fresh ideas help further that...

First off, this:
Second, I think I cried during the last like three episodes. I love Ben & Leslie and I also love the whole office loving Leslie. So sweet & beautiful!
